The REALbasic Language Reference provides easy access to information about REALbasic programming language elements, as shown here on Mac OS X. Tip In addition to accessing the Language Reference from the REALbasic Help menu, you can also open it by either pressing the F1 key or using CTRL-/ on Windows or Linux or by pressing the z-? key on Macintosh. The REALbasic Language Reference is organized into three panes. The left-most pane contains a listing of high-level categories where major programming language elements are logically grouped. When you select a category, a listing of available subcategories is displayed in the middle pane. When you select a subcategory entry, a list of topics is displayed in the right-most pane. To view the available information for any given topic, click its entry in the right pane. For example, Figure 2-17 shows an example of the reference information available for the If Then Else statement.
